IOWA CITY, IA. — The Newman triathlon team traveled to Iowa City to take on the Triowa race, the Jets Placed four women in the top 20 and the men had five placers in the top 20.

On the women's side Marlie Wagner finished ninth with a swim time of 8:10, bike time of 23:26, and run time of 14:36, Wagner had a total time of 46:12. Amanda Lee finished with a swim time of 6:01, bike time of 23:19, run time of 19:10, her total time was 48:30 giving her a 11th place finish. Taylor Stevens finished with a swim time of 8:11, bike time of 24:30, run time of 15:54 giving her a total time of 48:35 and a 12th place finish. Makayla Ehmke finished with a swim time of 7:14, bike time of 23:21, run time of 19:29 and a total time of 50:04 giving her a 16th place finish.

On the men's side Wyatt Mattas finished sixth with a swim time of 6:36, bike time of 17:50, run time of 11:12 giving him a total time of 35:38. Elijah Salas finished with a swim time of 6:13, bike time of , 20:11, run time of 10:28 and a total time of 36:52 giving himself a seventh place finish. Mac Foley finished 12th with his swim time at 6:37, bike time at 19:57, run time at 11:56 and total time of 38:30. Brandon Steiner finished 13th a swim time of 7:28, bike time of 18:04, run time of 13:09 and a total time of 38:41. Jonah Wagner finished 19th with a swim time of 7:45, bike time of 20:33, run time of 12:36 and a total time of 40:54.

The Jets travel to St. Louis, Missouri this weekend (Mar. 3) when they take on the Tri Washu at 9 a.m.
