ST. LOUIS, MO — The Newman triathlon team traveled to Missouri this past weekend to take on the TriWashU, The Jets had multiple finishers on both the men and women's side, with many of the competitors finishing middle of the pack against some really good competition through this event.  

On the women's side, Marlie Wagner finished with a swim time of 12:40, bike time of 33:15, and a run time of 22:31 totaling her time at 1:08:26, Taylor Stevens finished with a swim time of 12:51, bike time of 39:13, and a run time of 25:26 and she would finish with a total time of 1:17:30, Makayla Ehmke finished with a swim time of 11:06, bike time of 48:37, and a run time of 33:00 minutes.

On the men's side the Jets had participants finishing really close to each other, Mac Foley, Wyatt Mattas, Koki Takemoto, Elijah Salas, all finished under an hour and were three to six minutes away from each other in total time. Brandon Steiner, Andrew Nguyen, Steven Nguyen, and David Ling all finished a little over an hour but were about four to seven minutes apart as well. The Newman competitors went in to this event and up against some really good opponents and fair exceptionally well in the race.

The Jets will now be taking some much needed time off as they prepare for the college nationals in Tucson, Arizona April 5th-6th.
