WICHITA, Kan. – The Newman Jets finish their homestand on Tuesday Afternoon as they host the Cardinals of William Jewell for non-conference play starting at 1:00 PM before they start a long road trip starting in Missouri taking on Missouri Western on Friday at 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM before taking on Northwest Missouri State Saturday starting at 12:00 PM for MIAA Conference play.
 
Jets upset #17 Central Oklahoma in game 1 of the doubleheader Friday.
The Newman Jets would upset #17 Central Oklahoma in game 1 of the doubleheader on Friday 8-7, before falling in game 2 7-1.  This was the first ever ranked win for the Jets since being a member of the MIAA.  The Jets have a team batting average of .282 led by Emma Eck at .360 and Anissa Ramos at .354.  The Jets also have 5 players hitting above .300 on the season.
 
Newman Pitching looks to improve this week
