Last Time Out
The Jets headed out on the road last week to face two MIAA opponents, the Ichabods and Hornets. They faced Washburn first, a team who has been receiving votes in the top 25 and has been ranked earlier this year.  The Jets dropped the match, 3-0. The Jets then traveled to Emporia State where they battled a close game, but dropped the match 3-0.

Scouting the Jets
-Ozioma Ajekwu leads the Jets with 180 kills on the year through 16 matches played. She averages over 3.16 kills per set. 
-McKenna Rhodes is second in kills for the Jets with 114 kills through 17 matches played. 
-Natalie Trigo continues to lead the Jets on defense with 279 digs. 
-Avery Dempsey leads the team in assists with 296 through 37 sets played. 
 
Behind Enemy Lines
Pittsburg State is coming off of two losses to the Ichabods and Hornets. The Gorillas stole a set form the Ichabods but lost 1-3. They then went to Emporia State where they lost 0-3. The Gorillas will kick off their week of MIAA play against the Jets on Tuesday.
 
Missouri Southern State is coming off of two losses against Central Oklahoma and Arkansas Fort-Smith. The Lions are still searching for their first MIAA conference win. So far this year, the Lions have only found two wins in non-conference play earlier this season.
 
Central Missouri is coming off two close losses to Arkansas Fort-Smith and Central Oklahoma. The Jennies took the Lions to four sets, with two of those sets ending in the 30s. Against the Bronchos, the Jennies forced a fifth set where they dropped the final set, 15-10.
 
The Series
The Jets and Gorillas have met up 12 times. The Jets last beat the Gorillas in 2021 where they took the match, 3-2. Last time out, the Gorillas beat the Jets, 3-0.
