Box Score WICHITA - No. 9 Incarnate Word proved to be too much for the Newman men's soccer team Sunday afternoon at Wilkins Field. UIW's goal in the 102nd minute handed the Jets a 2-1 loss.

- Newman's Chris Vaughn scored the first goal of the contest in the 21st minute after a penalty kick was awarded when forward Nathan Nece was fouled on a shot inside the box.

- The Jets were able to fend off Incarnate Word until the 64th minute when Julien Brown-Latham scored the Cardinals' first goal off a Vincent Bailey free kick.

- The Cardinals' Abraham Campos netted the game winning goal in the 102nd minute off another Vincent Bailey free kick near the box.

- Newman goalkeeper Robin Allard had six saves in the match and fell to 1-2-1 on the season with the loss.

- The Jets were out-shot 29-1 in the contest, with their only shot coming on the goal-scoring penalty kick in the first half.

- Incarnate Word held a 7-2 corner kick advantage in the game.

- Newman was called for 15 fouls and two offsides violations while UIW was whistled for six fouls and five offsides calls.
