KEARNEY, Neb. - The Jets traveled to Kearney, Nebraska to compete in the Midwest Duals. Newman would go 2-1 in the duals with their two wins coming against Chadron State 30-12, New Mexico Highlands 37-7 and the one loss to Western Colorado 21-17.
Chadron State
At 125,
Jake Patch would defeat Tate Stoddard with an 8-0 major decision to give the Jets an early 4-0 lead. Next at 133,
Tyler Lawley would defeat Brandon Kline by a 6-2 decision to help gain 3 points for Newman to extend the lead to 7-0. Newman would then have
Baylor Smith at 141, who defeated Joseph Taylor with a 9-3 decision to extend the lead to 10-0.
Kevin Kissane, 149, would defeat Chance Karst by a 8-2 decision to extend the lead to 13-0.
Kameron Frame would continue the Jets hot streak with a 8-0 major decision over Chase Clasen at 157.
Kendall Frame would win by a 8-5 decision over Tate Allison at 165.
JD Johnson would win by fall over Gavin Eason at 174.
