Jets and Patriots Find Themselves All Tied Up

WICHITA - Newman Jets tied Dallas Baptist Patriots on Saturday afternoon after neither regulation time or overtime could seperate the two teams resulting in a 0-0 tie.

The Jets and the Patriots battled it out at Wilkins Field this afternoon as the home side looked to gain its first home win of the season. The game between the two sides consited of over thirty shots throughout the 110 minute match.

"I thought the boys played well going forward. We had a lot of shots throughout the game, many that were off target many that were on goal that were blocked. We should have had four in the net, that said they could have also scored against the run of play at the end when we were pushing to get a goal. Then we would have got nothing from the game." Coach Brown also commented on some of the more outstanding performances today.

"I thought Taylor Henry had a fantastic game especially considering he is a freshman. He was really composed and did a terrific job. Also, Matheus Daniel and Nathan Modesto were tremendous again at the back and I also felt that Kevin Crafton and Sam Travis were solid."

The Jets play McMurry University on Oct. 4 at 3.30 p.m. in Abilene, Texas.
