SCOUTING THE OPPONENT

LCU added a 64-59 win over Oklahoma Christian Thursday night in a tight game that saw six ties and 15 lead changes. A.J. Luckey poured in 31 points to lead the way, adding six rebounds, while Marcus Arrington put up 10 points and three assists.

HISTORY LESSON
With LCU's 73-66 victory at home just a month ago, the Chaparrals made it three straight wins in the series after the Jets took the first meeting during the 2013-14 season. Williams led the Jets with 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting that night, with Thurman, Corbert and Pegues all joining him in double figures.
NOTES
-With the win Thursday, the Jets kept pace in what has become a jumbled Heartland Conference race. Newman is just four games out of second place with seven left to play. They have games remaining against six of the seven teams ahead of them in the standings, starting with LCU, which is one of four teams tied for second.
-The 66 points the Chaps held Newman to in their first meeting was the second-lowest scoring output for the Jets this year, who are still fourth in the Heartland with 84.0 points per game. That number was right on target for LCU though, as it holds opponents to 66.4 points per game, the 18th-best number in the nation.
COVERAGE
Thursday's game will be broadcast live on 1410 AM (KGSO) in Wichita, with live video, audio and statistics available at www.newmanjets.com.
